Discover Tirol from Jagdschloss Resort
Kühtai has much to offer, summer as well as winter. But Tirol also offers many attractions, activities and experiences that give your holidays a little extra spark and that will make you get to know and love your holiday country. Start the day comfortably at Jagdschloss Resort and embark with new energy on an adventure discovery tour to nearby places Hochoetz, Innsbruck or Wattens.
Kühtai’s closest neighbour: Let’s go to Hochoetz
It’s only a short trip from Kühtai to the tranquil neighbouring village Hochoetz, the perfect place for families to enjoy happy adventure times: in the new Adventure Land Widiversum, adults and children alike enjoy a lot of fun and games while puzzling out riddles and searching for the lost magic crystal.
For serious action fun, check out the Ötzi Fun Arena in Umhausen. Here you’ll find fantastic Go-Kart races. The outdoor park Ötzi Dorf promises interesting insights into the life of the mysterious man in the ice, his living conditions and agricultural endeavours in the Neolithic Age, approximately 5000 years ago. From here you can hike to Tirol’s largest waterfall, the Stuibenfall, and be amazed by the roaring waters. If you are sure-footed and free from giddiness, and older than 10 years, you can also climb the waterfall on a via ferrata – a special adventure kick, especially suited for families and climbing beginners
If you prefer less action, you will enjoy the futuristic AQUA DOME of the Therme Längenfeld in every weather. An impressive water and sauna world is waiting for relaxation enthusiasts and a separate children’s world allows no time for boredom when parents indulge in wellness delights.
Excursion to Innsbruck – Capital of the Alps
For guests who love culture and sightseeing as well as culinary gourmet experiences, the Tirolean capital Innsbruck with its historic old town and the unique alpine urban flair offers exciting opportunities. From the ski jump Bergisel to the landmark Golden Roof, a ride with the modern funicular railway Hungerburgbahn and a relaxed shopping tour in the bustling Maria-Theresien-Straße as well as in different shopping malls, there is much to see and experience. Relax with a view of the towering mountain range Nordkette while sipping your coffee or aperitif in the city centre, enjoy the city flair and feel close to nature. Many museums like the Landesmuseum, the Zeughaus, the venerable Schloss Ambras, the historic city tower or the imperial court Hofburg are a delight for culture enthusiasts. The alpine zoo “Alpenzoo” is home to more than 100 species like brown bear, wolf and ibex, and the best time to visit is spring, when new babies are born.
Fascinating Crystal Worlds
An excursion to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in nearby Wattens, 20 km from Innsbruck, is worthwhile for adults and children alike. Visitors will immerse themselves in the unique, dazzling, glittering world of the Giant and experience the beauty of the crystals in all their facets, from art and culture to entertainment and shopping opportunities, indoor as well as outdoor. An excursion to the Giant is also ideal for the entire family: there are play towers and playgrounds in the idyllic garden that offer space to romp around. Additionally, weekly workshops and family days are offered.
