Since Leopold V, the small chapel of the Jagdschloss has been considered an insider tip for romantic, white winter weddings. Weddings at 2,000 m above sea level – with the mountains and peaks of the Kühtai as a picturesque backdrop. For us, it is always a great pleasure when two couples say “I do” at the Jagdschloss Resort and the history of this place can add yet another beautiful chapter. If you are already planning your celebration: Our chapel has room for about 20-25 people. The bride will share the color scheme of her dress with the beautiful snowy mountains: From the end of December until late May, Kühtai shows itself in its constant white snowy robe. A noble backdrop for an extraordinary event. And the romance of the royal Kühtai Jagdschloss provides a very special ambiance.

Prince Leopold V was Bishop of Passau and Strasbourg before his time as Prince of Tyrol. During this time he received the famous Lukas Cranach picture of the Virgin Mary as a gift, which still hangs in the cathedral of St. Jacob in Innsbruck. A copy of it adorned the Jagdschloss chapel for centuries. We have had the painting extensively restored and have given it to the Marienkirche in Kühtai as a perpetual loan.
