Tips for holidays with your dog

A holiday flat as accommodation is especially suitable for guests who would like to bring their dog with them. Of course, dogs do not belong on alpine ski slopes. But romping around in the snow with the dog or going on long walks together in the winter and even more so in the summer is a popular type of holiday for dog lovers.

Here are a few tips on how your dog can also enjoy a holiday together:

• Bring along his favorite toys, favorite blanket or dog basket and emergency medication, dog towels, and a sufficient amount of excrement bags.
• You should bring dog food from home, so your dog doesn’t have to get used to unfamiliar food.
• Give your dog time to get used to the new environment. Of course, everything must first be sniffed out carefully.
• A bottle of water for your dog should also part of the daily hiking bag.
• Leave your dog enough time to rest during the day – most dogs like to stay alone in the apartment for an undisturbed nap – of course with the “Do not disturb” sign on the door so that the hotel staff is not mistaken for a burglar.
